SHARING YOUR FAITH WITHOUT FEAR
Our workshop “Sharing Your Faith without Fear” will be this Sunday evening in the Perry Fellowship Hall from 6:00-7:30 pm. Dr. Marcus Merritt, a personal friend and former missionary with the Georgia Baptist Mission Board, will lead us in learning how to share our personal faith stories in a planned and winsome way. If you want to be able to share your faith story within 3-4 minutes as a witnessing tool, then this workshop is for you. No registration is required and child care is provided.
GEORGIA BAPTIST STAFFING RECOMMENDATION
Recently we received a recommendation from executive staff members with the Georgia Baptist Mission Board regarding the alignment of our leadership staff. Their recommendation is as follows:
A senior-level staff member, other than the Lead Pastor, will be tasked with the overall responsibility of directing, implementing, and championing the church’s recently adopted “discipleship pathway.”
We affirmed this recommendation at the Church Conference on December 6, 2020. We assigned it to our deacon body for consideration and implementation since the deacons have the organizational responsibility for matters with the leadership staff. The deacons are currently considering this recommendation and will bring their own recommendation back to the congregation at a subsequent Church Conference meeting.
CHURCH CONFERENCE – FEBRUARY 21
Our next quarterly Church Conference is set for Sunday, February 21 at 5:00 pm in the Perry Fellowship Hall. Several items of discussion will be presented, and your participation in this decision-making process is a key part of our church. The Church Conference is an open meeting for all church members, and I encourage you to participate. Child care will be provided.
